DTC health and wellness brands

Health agents for DTC health brands.

Health Loops give customers a reason to stay between orders. Welcome them, check in with a phone-camera wellness scan, answer product questions from your own guides, and reach out before a subscription renews.

The problem

After the checkout

“Customers buy once and drift.”

After the first order, the only contact is a discount email.

“Support answers the same questions all day.”

How to use it, what is in it, and whether it goes with something else.

“We don’t know how customers are doing.”

Without a check-in, there is no moment to become part of their routine.

“Subscriptions cancel quietly.”

By the time a customer cancels, nobody has spoken to them in months.
How the loop works

How a loop follows a customer

  1. An order starts it. Your store or CRM calls the loop when someone orders or subscribes.
  2. A welcome with a baseline. A short call or text, with a scan link so the customer gets a wellness snapshot on day one.
  3. Questions answered from your guides. An agent loop answers from documents you upload, with packaged-food and ingredient lookups and public medicine label references.
  4. Check-ins on your schedule. Your system starts a check-in at the intervals you choose. Each one picks up from what the last one learned.
  5. A call before renewal. A check-in a few days before the renewal date, with the outcome sent to your CRM.

interface Order { customerId: string; phone: string; product: string }

export class HealthLoop extends Workflow {
  async run(event: HealthEvent<Order>, step: HealthStep) {
    const { customerId, phone, product } = event.body;

    // The trigger response carries the scan link for your welcome message.
    await step.do("Open baseline scan", async ({ ctx }) => {
      const customer = await ctx.USER.getUser({ id: customerId });
      await ctx.FACIAL_SCAN.create({ user: customer, metadata: { product } });
    });

    const scan = await step.waitForScan({ timeout: "3 days" });
    const report = await step.do("Report link", () => scan.pdfUrl());

    await step.do("Text the report", ({ ctx }) =>
      ctx.SMS.send({
        to: phone,
        content: `Your snapshot is ready: ${report}`,
      }),
    );

    await step.do("Remember", async ({ ctx }) => {
      const customer = await ctx.USER.getUser({ id: customerId });
      await customer.remember(`Baseline scan done after ordering ${product}`);
    });
  }
}
Channels and integrations

What the loop works with

SMS. One message or up to 500 at once, with opt-out checks and timed delivery.
Phone calls. Outbound calls to a phone number, or a browser call from your app. Each call ends with a transcript and a summary.
Wellness scans. A phone-camera scan behind a consent screen, with a hosted PDF report. The scan link works from your app, a text message or WhatsApp.
Chat. An agent loop on your site or app answers product questions from your own guides, and can start a scan or a call.
Your store and CRM. Loops call your endpoints to read data and send results back. Your systems start loops with one authenticated API call.
Data and compliance

How data is handled

Your own data plane. Each organisation’s loops, runs, members and keys live in that organisation’s own store, apart from every other customer.
No efficacy claims. Scan readings are wellness readings. Don’t present them as proof that a product works.
Keys you control. An API key only reaches loops in the organisation that made it, and you can revoke it at any time. Secrets are encrypted and only admins can see them.
A record of every run. The trigger, each step and its result, every tool call, every log line and every error are kept for your team to review.
FAQ

Questions

What does Health Loops do for a DTC health brand?

Health Loops runs the customer journey after checkout as health agents written as code: a welcome with a baseline wellness scan, check-ins on your schedule, product questions answered from your own guides, and a check-in before renewal.

Can a loop answer questions about our products?

Yes. An agent loop answers from documents you upload, such as product guides and FAQs. It can also look up packaged-food nutrition and allergens, and public medicine label information. It gives reference information, not medical advice.

Can we say our product improves scan results?

No. The scan gives a wellness snapshot, not a clinical measurement, so it is not evidence that a product works. Use it as a check-in moment, not a claim.

How do check-ins run on a schedule?

Your store, CRM or scheduler calls the loop’s API at the times you choose. Each run reads the customer’s memory, so every check-in knows what happened in the last one.
